RMA Automotive South Africa’s Underground Mining Vehicle is now available. Built on a Ford Ranger Double Cab 4×4 XLT, this vehicle has been developed for Rio Tinto to transport personnel and equipment on underground mine sites.
There are many special modifications applied to this new Underground Mining Vehicle:
- SAHR – Spring Actuated, Hydraulic Release Emergency Braking System
- Ansul Automatic Fire Suppression system
- Kevlar floor protection, made up of 12-layer Kevlar boards
- Fitted with Dropside body and a dual battery system with 10 spotlights mounted front and rear
- Overhauled with complete RMAA SA Mining Package including adding side steps, a wrap-around bull bar, reflective tape, decals, heavy duty seat covers, a battery isolation switch, identification boards and all the usual mining accessories required for the light mining vehicle application
- 13 unique “plug and play” electrical harnesses
