Growth Milestones

2008

Facility opens within the Ford South Africa production complex to build modified left-hand drive Ford Rangers for TACOM.

2009

Modifications for TACOM moved back to Thailand.

2010

Qualified Vehicle Modifier approved by Ford Japan for our Mine Site Vehicle.

2011

UN Contract – Peacekeeping program of United Nation.

Contracted by Ford South Africa to modify new Ford Rangers as part of a personalization program with Ford of Europe.

2013

Qualified Vehicle Modifier re-approved by Ford Japan for our Mine Site Vehicle.

Approved as the preferred supplier of modified Ford mine site vehicles to BECSA – a division of BHP Billiton.

2016

RMAA Production infrastructure gets significantly upgraded to a “three lane” facility to manage increased volumes from Ford Motor Company.

2017

After 3 years in development, RMAA SA starts rolling out the South African Police Service (SAPS) Steel Canopy for Toyota SA for fitment on the Toyota Hilux Single Cab pickup truck.

2018

Appointed a Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) Parts supplier to Ford Motor Company of South Africa.

2019

Appointed by Mahindra SA as the production partner for the Mahindra S6 ‘Karoo’ Limited Edition.

2020

Launch of the Mahindra Mining (S6 Pik Up) and Mahindra Xpress Cargo (KUV100) conversion packages in partnership with Mahindra South Africa.

Record order of 1400 South African Police Service Canopies from Toyota South Africa.

2021

Awarded the FMCSA Vehicle Modifications Centre (VMC) Management Contract for Next-Gen Ford Ranger, launched in October 2022.

RMAA SA purchases a new facility in Samcor Park.

2022

Start operations from the new RMAA SA Head Office in Samcor Park and the new, 1900 square metre FMCSA VMC Facility.

Appointed by Ford Motor Company of SA as a Tier-1 Supplier for subassembly of the Power Roller Shutter for Next-Gen Ford Ranger.
